ESTQB mission is related to that of the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB):

• To provide skills development and certification for workers at all levels of ICT, by linking future technology trends with ongoing certification.
• To align and manage all training courses according to ISTQB standards, inclusive of course substance.
• To ensure compliance with ISTQB standards and guidelines and to provide advanced level certification for ICT professionals.
• To provide a means by which resources can be developed and aligned with future trends in the industry in order to ensure that professional services can be delivered to all domains requiring such skills.
• To facilitate the certification of software testing professionals in Ethiopia in accordance with ISTQB standards.
• To provide Ethiopian training institutions with accreditation to conduct courses using the ISTQB syllabi.
• To contribute to the deeper understanding of all facets of software testing, by participating in ISTQB working groups.
